Annual Walk

We’re asking the community to Step Up! If you have Down Syndrome, know someone that has Down syndrome or just want to show support come join us! The Walk is a one-mile pledge walk designed to help increase public awareness and the acceptance of individuals with Down Syndrome as well as raise funds to support initiatives and services for them in our own communities.

The 2013 Walk will be held in October 2013. The walk will be held at the Wall Township Municipal Complex on Allaire Rd in Wall. This event is more than an awareness walk. The event will include refreshments, activities and entertainment in a place where the community can relax, have fun and enjoy each others company. There will also be prizes for participants.

The Annual Walk will be the primary fundraising event for the Jersey Shore Down Syndrome Association. Funds raised from this Walk will allow us to support expecting and new parents, continue outreach within the area’s medical community, offer activities and more to enhance the lives of individuals born with Down syndrome and their families. The Jersey Shore Down Syndrome Association is a volunteer organization, and 100% of funds raised go directly to support the programs and services of the Jersey Shore Down Syndrome Association.

The Walk will take place rain or shine! Sorry, no refunds will be given.
