For children aged 7-17 years “Genetic Influences on learning and behavior in individuals with Down syndrome”. The study will involve 90-120 minutes of testing in one or two visits. Most tests will be done on a computer. A small blood sample will be taken and parents will complete two short questionnaires on medical history and behavior. For children aged 10-17. Study will test the drug rivastigmine to see if it will help improve memory, speech and language function. This is a double blind study which means that some people will get the drug and some will not…but you will not know which group you are in. For individuals with Down syndrome aged 18-30. This study (BP25543) will look at a drug that is being developed to improve attention and memory.
